1. API Scope & License Grant

Subject to compliance with these API Terms of Service, Vehicle History Data Technologies Inc. grants registered business clients a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access our REST API endpoints strictly for internal business operations or approved application integrations.

2. Credential Security & Protection

You are solely responsible for the security of your API keys and authentication tokens. API keys must reside exclusively on secure back-end servers. Exposing API keys in client-side code, mobile binaries, or publicly accessible repositories constitutes a material breach and results in immediate key revocation.

3. Rate Limits & Fair Usage

API usage is governed by tier-specific query rate limits and concurrency thresholds. Clients exceeding agreed rate limits may experience HTTP 429 status responses. Circumventing rate limits through multiple concurrent keys or rotating identities is strictly prohibited.

4. Data Caching & Redistribution Rules

Clients may temporarily cache API response records solely to optimize application performance for a maximum duration of 30 days. Re-selling raw, un-enriched vehicle data feeds or operating competing vehicle history lookup services using our API data is strictly prohibited without prior written enterprise licensing.

5. Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate API access immediately upon detecting abusive request patterns, suspicious query surges, or non-payment of agreed commercial service fees.

Platform Integration Disclosure: VehicleHistoryData.com is currently developing its vehicle data integration platform. Data availability and specific vehicle information depend on the third-party data providers integrated with the platform.
